FRIED BURRO BANANAS
Burro bananas are a simple and delicious on their own or as a side and they come together quickly in a skillet. In our home we like to have them paired with a fresh homemade salsa or with are families green sauce. When you are looking to shop for them in the store a couple of things that I look for as followed. They have dark brown / black lines and or spots on them. Additionally, I look for them to not be firm especially if I plan on cooking them that same day. The softer they are when you press them with your fingers than the sweeter they tend to be.
When it comes time to preparing them to cook I like to first cut of each end and then slice it straight down the middle and or if I have guest I will cut them into small circles or cut them at a diagonal. Once you are done cutting them heat up your cast iron or skillet and heat your preferred oil I like to work with avocado oil.
